2 wheeler!

Today Kyle finally had his chance and did it!
He rode his bike without training wheels. He has been hounding me for a few weeks but every time we try I find it hard to just let go and give up. I would put the wheels back on and then he would get out Keith's tools and takes them off again.
So today Kyle asked Phil our neighbor to take the wheels off and help him ride. Phil just hung on to the bike for a second and let go. I screamed, but before you knew it he was off and riding in a matter of 5 min.
Now even Hanna wants to give it a try!

It is tough moving to a new town and going to a new school, but the kids have adjusted rather well. They have made new friends and have come to know where things are in this small town. I think they even like living here for the most part.
Tonight we have Hanna's "Best Friend" Cally sleeping over for the last time. She is moving away. Which seems very sad to me because I know this may be the last time they see each other.
It makes me think of some of the good friends I had growing up and all the fun things we did together. I guess they helps us become who we are.

What a great surprise!

I went to Lethbridge on the weekend for the Annual BBQ out at the farm. What a great time we had. There were about 80+ family and friends who came as well as a whole lot of food and a bit of drinking.

The best part was the surprise, my Dad had invited my kindergarten teacher (Jeannie Oleksy) and her husband to the party and they came! Actually, she was the kindergarten teacher for all of us sisters. She was a great teacher and someone we talk about often.

Here are just a few pic of me in kindergarten! How cute was I?

Kyle and Matthew Dreimer

Just a little funny that happened while at Calaway Park with the "Reimer Family". Kyle and Matthew get along really well, most of the time when they are together. Kyle always talks about "Matthew Dreimer" as his best friend and partner in crime (we all know how much trouble two little 3&4 year old boys can get into). On our way out of the park we had to stop in at the candy store to give the kids the opportunity to fill up on MORE sugar. I guess we did not think they had enough sweats and candy during the day. Kyle decided on a peppermint stick which he seemed to enjoy until Matthew Dreimer (I just love saying that, "Dreimer") let Kyle have a taste of his HUGE jawbreaker on a stick. After that Kyle did not want his but wanted Matthews. So Matts kindly shared with Kyle as you can see in this picture. It was so gross, they were both licking off of the candy at the same time. I think Michelle got an even better picture. Boys will be Boys!!!!!

Calaway

We finally got to use the season passes to Calaway Park. I know it is not that far from here but it still takes a bit of planning. Michelle called and she had mentioned that they were planning on going and I had the day off so I invited myself and the kids. It was so much fun! Thanks Michelle!

The nice thing about going with the Reimers was that Hanna and Samuel could go on a lot of bigger rides together and then Kyle, Ben and Matthew could go on the smaller rides together. Poor Lukey, he was just left out. I guess it is tough being the smallest!

The candy store was defiantly one of the highlights of the day, especially for Dennis! We were all on a sugar high by the end of the day.
