BBQ

night was a very beautiful summer night and we were on our way the kinettes year end BBQ.

Just after we got there the kids were running around and Last haveing a lot of fun. Sudenly we heard Kyle screamming and he came running, yelling "bees, bees!!".

By the time he got to us he had a bunch of wasps stuck to his shirt and a few were inside his shirt biting him. We wiped them off and stepped on them but he was still crying. He had 6 bites on his upper body including his left eye. After crying and a bit of ice on the bites he was fine, running around with one eye half swollen shut, telling anyone who would listen, his story " I am so brave." he would say and "It does not even hurt because I am a big boy."

I think this one on his neck and the one on his eye were the worst of them.

He was fine today. I asked him what happened with the wasps? He told me " I was poking them with a stick and telling them I was going to put them in jail, then the just came at me and bite me." He is a funny kid. I know this wont be the last incident either.

Getting better

Things are going great here in the Jones house. Keith is still dealing with the whole foot thing and not being able to get around very well. He has 8 pins sticking out of his foot and has to be on bed rest with his foot in the air for 12 weeks. We are almost half way there, and then there is recovery which may be another 12 weeks. He seem to be getting better everyday.
Some days I feel like I am losing my mind but it passes and then we start the next day all over again.
We are so lucky to have really great family, friends and neighbours. I came home one day to a clean house last week because some wonderful people thought I could use a bit of help and something to lift my spirits. My mom also came to help me get the basement back into order after the carpet was finally laid. (By the way the basement is almost always done and looks great)
And then there is the kids. They just go about life being kids. i love them for that. Very little seems to affect them to much. We have our first swim meet tomorrow and I am looking forward to it but I don't know if the kids are. I think it is a good experience for them but they are a bit worried about the racing thing. We have done the swim thing mostly for fun, so we will see.
Hanna is looking forward to school being over for the summer and to be truthful, so am I. However, Kyle can hardly wait to start kindergarten. They grow up so fast!
